The start of a New Year is one of my favorite times in the calendar. It provides an opportunity to reflect on and give thanks for all that God has done in the months that have passed. It is also a time to look forward with prayerful, hope-filled expectation at the new things God will do for us in the year ahead. This Sunday, Pastor Sam will help us approach the new year joyfully, expectantly, and prayerfully so that, by God’s grace and with His help, we can thrive in 2025.
NO Equip Hour
Due to expected snow and ice, our Worship Service time for this Sunday has moved to 11AM with NO Equip Hour. This is subject to change based on weather and road conditions, so please check for updates! We will post service information on the WYFF-4 news ticker, our website, and Facebook page, and we’ll also send out emails and texts.

January | Sanctity of Life Month
During the month of January we’ll be collecting items for the Piedmont Women’s Center, a Christian organization that provides resources and support for expecting moms in crisis.
You can drop off NEW ITEMS ONLY in the baby crib located in our foyer. Click HERE for a list of suggested items (no used donations please—new items must have tags). Piedmont also has an AMAZON WISH LIST.
We’ll also have baby bottles you can sign out and take home to fill with spare change. Please return the bottles by January 31.
January 26 | Baby Dedication
We will have a baby dedication during the Worship Service on Sunday, Jan. 26. If you would like to participate, please COMPLETE THIS FORM.
Carolina Closet Ministry Opportunity: “A Bag From the Heart”
Students at Carolina High who struggle with food insecurity can “shop” for family essentials at the school’s Food Closet. We plan to stock it with cake mix kits in February as a special treat for these families. To donate a kit, please pick up a bag in the foyer, fill it with the items below, and return it to the church by the next T4M Meeting on February 2nd.
Kit items:
- Cake mix
- Canned frosting
- Sprinkles, heart decorations, etc.
- $10 Food Lion gift card for eggs & oil
Please write your favorite “love” Bible verse on the enclosed heart magnet, and an optional note of encouragement on the back.

Sunday Evening Bible Studies
Both the Men’s and Women’s Sunday evening studies will resume on January 12 at 6PM. Men meet in Room 204, and women meet in the Fellowship Hall.
January 23 | Women’s Dessert Fellowship
Join us Thursday, January 23 at 7 PM in the Fellowship Hall for our annual Women’s Dessert and Coffee Fellowship.

Lost and Found—New Location in Balcony Stairwell
All lost and found items, including several water bottles, can now be found under the east balcony stairwell. Items are discarded at the end of each month.
